Wonderful to see these three different styles. They are all fabulous, you are a great artist! If I have to choose, I like the third one best, pure essence of the peony in paint!
Amazing work, Jane! Three very different styles .. decorative, illustrative and finally evocative :) I agree with some of the other comments that the third one is the star of the show!
Well Mz. Jane, you have made it hard to choose a fav here. I love love the top one, you can just get lost in it and see all kind of things going on. So being a tighter person thatis my fav BUT that being said the last one is a style that I would love to be able to do. So there you go, that was a round about answer wasn't it ? Hope you have had a good few days and I am back again. Hugs xoxoxo
Judy thanks a lot! I'm glad you prefer the third one..being it the latest of them . The two first ones were painted in 2008/2009.
Martine e Isabelle merci beaucoup, vos commentaires me font très plaisir!
Trudy, that must be a good sign :-)) Wish you a great week!
Michael thank you very much for your comment, I like your definition 'decorative, illustrative and evocative' ! xox
Hi Cathy, it's been a long time, nice to see you back again. Thanks for commenting!
dandelion grazie per il gentilissimo commento!
Barbara , troppo buona! Un grande abbraccio!
Brad thanks for passing and welcome!
Kathryn, I am glad you like the last one , being it the latest. And the looser style is surely the one I prefer today, too, but I like to put 'old' and new up against each other. The two first ones are 2-3 years old. xox
My dearest Annette, so good to see you back, hope you had a great trip ! Your comment is a perfect round about answer, but very welcome. As I already wrote in comments above, the first two ones are 'oldies' from 2008/09, and the last one is about two weeks old, so hopefully there has been an evolution! Big hugs back! xoxoxoxoxo
Martine e Isabelle, merci beaucoup, j'apprécie beaucoup vos commentaires
I assume that the first two are from the time you did botanical paintings. They are so precise and elaborate. I can even imagine the painstaking effort with the small brushes that went into the second peony... They are undeniably beautiful! But I admire the third one the most as it takes imagination and boldness to put down only the few, right brushstrokes and achieve this inspiring effect! Hugs!
I really love your floral painting style! The first one is my favorite, because of the detail and the joyful, open-armed, embracing life feeling. I admire the way you sometimes use a crisp, detailed style and sometimes a softly blended style. Your work is very beautiful!
Hallie try and paint them in watercolor! I am looking forward to seeing some of your watercolors! xox
Debra and AK thanks!!
Giada e Gabe, grazie! Abbracci

Celeste and jyothisethu....too good both of you :-)
Grazie mille Gabe, sei sempre gentilissima .bacione!
Hi Katherine, yes I would think also that the first one would appeal more to you being quite precise, but YOU are the queen of precision...doing your stunning works!
Mary you are very kind, hope you will visit again:-) xx
Grazie mille Sergio! Abbraccio
Cara Margarita, sono lusingatissima dalle tue parole, ti ringrazio davvero tanto, e benvenuta!

Assolutamente strepitosi Jane, bellissimi i colori utilizzati! Buona serata , Barbara
RispondiEliminaThey are all wonderful paintings! I think my favorite is the one on the top.
RispondiEliminaJane, my friend, your botanicals are superb! But i must admit, I love your loose style, as well!! :)
RispondiEliminaFelicitaciones, Jane querida!
Abrazos desde Chile.

Beautiful flowers!
RispondiEliminaCongratulations Jane
Peonies grow in my yard. Every year I bring some inside with the intention of painting them--I've never actually done it. These are beautiful.
RispondiEliminaBeautiful Jane, great to see the contrast in the three pieces. All amazing
RispondiEliminaMe gusta tu espacio, Jane. Te seguiré a partir de ahora. Gracias por propiciar este encuentro.

You put in so much effort in your work. I wish I could be as patient.
RispondiEliminaMeravigliose, in tutti e tre gli stili!
