Years ago a friend offered me this bouquet of dried hydrangeas from her garden , and though a bit faded the colors still remain, and I can't get myself to throwing them out even though they are probably quite dusty by now . I find hydrangeas particularly fascinating when dry.
Hope you had a great Easter , and wish you a nice start of the week.
Esos tonos pastel quedan preciosos Jane.
RispondiEliminaThese are exquisite, Jane! I love the muted colors. And you know I share your love of dried hydrangeas :) :)

RispondiEliminaHi Jane, this is so beautiful, love the all the different colours! The warm and cool tones are gorgeous ! I have been throwing so much stuff out but I have this one hydrangea dried from two years ago and I can't bring myself to throw it out either. : ) I hope you have a great week too. xxx
RispondiEliminaBeautiful painting Jane. The warm and cool colors really compliment each other. The vase is great too.
RispondiEliminaThis has a lot of impact with it's faded colors and dramatic shadows, very interesting. Happy Easter to you too.
RispondiEliminaLas flores te quedan de maravilla. Es un bello cuadro. Saludos.
RispondiEliminaQuerida Jane, Belleza fuerza en tu lindo arte.
RispondiEliminaBONITAS FLORES.
Felicitaciones y abrazos.
Yes Jane - dried Hydrangeas are so lovely and you have captured their subtle hues so beautifully. We had a tree close by in the cemetery near our old church and my friend and I would pick them and dry them. Hope you had the best Easter. Have a great week.
RispondiEliminaThey have made a lovely painting full of subtle colours. We have lost ours and have had a dried bunch of them for 3 years now.
Enhorabuena! Un abrazo.
RispondiEliminaI love Hydrangeas too, having a permanent bunch at the ready to paint whenever I would not throw them out either. This capture is soft and lovely Jane not a dry bloom in sight
RispondiEliminaDit schilderij is super !
groetjes,
Simonne
I didnt know that the dried hydrangeas looked so beautiful, you did it beautifully Jane, I wonder what makes the color to be retained even after drying up.
RispondiEliminaMuy conseguidos esos blancos y muy bella composición. Me encantan tus flores. Abrazos.

RispondiEliminaI understand why you want to keep your flowers as long as you can. They are beautiful and I do the same thing, put them in a vase and keep them util someone just give me a new one. :)
RispondiEliminaTrès beau travail dans les teintes pastels. Bisous Jane

RispondiEliminaI love them too Jane-gorgeous work! Now you will always have a beautiful reminder of your friends flowers.
RispondiEliminaI think you have captured their faded glory beautifully, Jane.
RispondiEliminaThese hydrangeas are so beautiful...I as well, love them dried and I wouldn't throw them away either...I love the subtle color that it has become.!!! The vase is painted beautifully as well...
RispondiEliminaThese last two floral paintings are both so beautiful, while quite different in style - the first so textured and the second, so delicately smooth in its pastel tones.
Ok I will have to,admit it, I am jealous. I am lucky enough to,have several hydrangea bushes, so I get them both love and dry. I have tried to do in several media and I can't get this. Darn I love the looseness, but you got the impact and it reads hydrangea
EliminaI love that the hydrangea colors are reflected in the vase.
RispondiEliminabeautiful shades jane
