A dear friend of mine had cancer and she lost her hair due to the cures . I thought that she was still beautiful even though in an abstract way from her normal self . And it made me think of how courageous and strong women are even through tough ordeals, and this inspired me to make a series of bald abstract women .

Una mia cara amica malata di cancro aveva perso i suoi capelli dovuto alle cure . Ho pensato che fosse sempre bella anche se in un modo astratto dal suo aspetto abituale . Mi ha fatto riflettere su quanto le donne siano coraggiose e forte anche contro le avversità della vita , e ciò mi ha ispirato a fare una serie di donne calve astratte.

Ho lavorato come una matta negli ultimi mesi in quanto ci saranno una quarantina di dipinti esposti . Sarebbe bello trovarsi tutti lì per l'inaugurazione !

I've been painting  up a storm lately as there will be around forty paintings displayed . Wouldn't it be nice to see you all at the opening!

Quest'anno ho partecipato al concorso 'Primavera 2012 ' svoltasi alla galleria Eustachi  di Milano, ed ho avuto il grandissimo piacere di vincere una coppa per il 4° posto....è stata decisamente una buona giornata :-))) L'esposizione sarà aperta fino al 28 aprile .

I have been participating  in the competition 'Spring 2012' which was held at the 'Galleria Eustachi'  in Milan and was very pleased to win a cup for the 4th place....that made my day :-))) The exposition will be open till the 28th of april.
