The inspiration of this painting came from a Danish  garden blogger called Landbohaven . She is always showing  a lot of beautiful photos from her lovely  garden.

As often happens when I paint two  versions of the same subject,  I don't know which one to post, so here they are both of them...you choose.:-)

Matita e pastelli

Malgrado la grande tranquillità della mia casetta danese, durante l'estate l'ispirazione è stata piuttosto scarsa, più che acquerellare in grande libertà ho preferito disegnare e colorare con i pastelli. Uno dei risultati è questo.  C'è da dire che la mia attenzione spesso è stata distratta da animali vari in giardino, una varietà infinita di uccelli, scoiattoli a volontà, volpi, e addiratura un daino (vedere foto).









In spite of the peacefulness of my summerhouse   inspiration was very low during summer, and instead of painting with  watercolors I preferred sketching and doing pastels , one of the results is this one.And I have to say that my attention was very often distracted by some animal in the garden, a great variety of birds , squirrels, foxes and even a deer ( see photo).

Cari amici. Eccomi qui,  è passato parecchio tempo, e non vedevo l'ora di riprendere il contatto con tutti voi. Finalmente oggi ho  riavuto il mio prezioso  computer rimasto in riparazione per quasi una settimana da quando sono tornata , e  quale modo migliore di ricominciare che non con un autoritratto , giusto per rinfrescarvi un po la memoria... :-))

Dear friends. A lot of time has passed by, and I have  really been looking forward to taking up contact with all of you again . Finally today I got my precious little  computer back from almost one week of repair, and what better way than starting with a self portrait,  just  in order to startle your memory... :-))
