Che Neve sia ! / Let it Snow !

Acquerello e tempera / Watercolor and gouache  30 x 45 cm
Acquerello  e tempera / Watercolor  and gouache  30,5 x 45 cm

These two watercolors are not recent, and I didn't like them the way they were. But adding a tree and the snow gave life to a rather dull painting in my opinion.

Abbraccio,Rita.

  6. It is so interesting how revisiting a work can change both it and the way you feel about it. These look fresh and vital to me. I really like the bottom one with the great contrasts. Complimenti!

    1. You are right Padmaja , in fact the originals were never posted, but if you try and imagine these two without the trees and the snow...you have the original painting. xx

  39. Interestingly, before I read your text, I thought that it's the trees that give these paintings the Jane Moller style. this definitely added interest and tuned them into beautiful paintings!

  40. I had a couple of days off and what did I miss... Only a bit of excitement here on jane's blog!!!
What a difference the snow makes. You brought a specific mood to both the paintings by adding the snow. How clever! May I steal the idea? In fact we may be all seeing snow added to our blander landscapes.

    RispondiElimina
  41. Well, I certainly like these now--love the bottom one.
