Very nicely done - is she looking out a window? If she is, perhaps "Yearning" or "Longing" could be a title. Not great but maybe. Sometimes titles just come and other times it's hard to think of something.
Hello Jane, I like both paintings, but prefer the second one because of the dark colors used. At the moment I'm very fond of dark colors! About a title; maybe "in deep thoughts" would do? Google translated it in Italiano as: "nel pensiero profondo". What a nice language Italian is:) How ever; I like your paintings!
These are both great paintings Jane. I've spent a while trying to figure out why I like the first one best and I've finally realised it's the placement of the window. It's higher in the second painting. I can't help with a title unless it's "Please let me in, I'm getting cold out here!"
Baci, baci
Jane, These sre both very lovely paintings, and they seem to go together. I may be wrong, but in the first one I get the impression that she is looking into a mirror. A simple title could be "Reflection". In the second painting she seems to be looking out a window, and deep in thought. Another simple title "Reflecting"...just my thoughts :)
Abbraccio
Thank you very much Rhonda, your titles are both great!
Azra excellent title too! Thanks!
Hi Renate , thanks for partecipating in the search for a title :-) And I agree that italian is a wonderful language , so soft.
Marja , thank you for your very lovely comment and for your suggestion. xox
John I checked on the windows, you are right, it makes a difference...gives different associations. Thanks for your humorous title !
Deux très bonnes titres Lydie, merci beaucoup! Bises
Good titles Jan! She was meant to be looking out of the window, but reflecting is not bad at all. xx
Ciao Jane!
Hi Jane, wow both so alike but so different moods. You are a wizard at these I do have to say. One is a happy light and airey one and the other just a darker mood. Well done gal. xo
Jane, looking at your beautiful paintings I realize what a difference the choice of colors make. The fist girl seems to be happy and hopeful, while the second one looks to me a little sad and nostalgic.
Beautiful. In the first one, I think she's standing inside, looking out her front window, watching cars collide (smile). The rectangles add so much to these paintings.
A huge thank you for all your suggestions, and even if they are all wonderful in the end I have decided to call it ' WAITING ' . Of course I will leave it like this now, otherwise your comments wouldn't make any sense. xoxox
I am sure I tried several times to leave a comment, and a title, and with the mysteries of Blogger, it did'nt appear!Sorry, and congratulations, your 2 watercolors are very lovely.Have a nice week end!
Ciao, Jane. Baci.
Hi Jane, So sorry i haven't been commenting on your beautiful work. Look at all that I've missed! I'm back now and hope to drop by every week. These two turned out just lovely. The word that comes to mind is "Dreamer" the figure has such a tranquil, srene kind of stance so i think perhaps she is day dreaming about a lost love? Not sure. Great stuff.
Sylviane a lot of bloggers have problems with commenting lately, glad you came through. Bises
Bacione
Giselle how nice to see you again! Dreamer is a great title, and I love how it tickled your imagination, but I decided to call it 'WAITING'...see my comment above. xx
I have no idea on a title - I alwasy struggle with them - but your paintings are beautiful.
RispondiEliminaio ti suggerirei
1) sole cuore amore
2) l'innamorata
ciao e complimenti
I am not good at thinking of titles, so no help from me. Both are beautiful Jane, I slightly prefer the first one.
RispondiEliminaVery nicely done - is she looking out a window? If she is, perhaps "Yearning" or "Longing" could be a title. Not great but maybe. Sometimes titles just come and other times it's hard to think of something.
RispondiEliminaBeautifully painted Jane!! I would call it "waiting".

Bisous Jane.
